This dataset contains GIS product, integrated profiles, optical, and satellite data data collected on OCEANUS in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2004-06-13 to 2005-08-24. The instruments used to collect these data include Satlantic Micro-profiler II. These data were collected by David Siegel of University of California-Santa Barbara as part of the EDDIES project(s). The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NODC on 2011-12-31.

The following is the text of the abstract provided by BCO-DMO:

Satlantic light-profiling system data collected from R/V Oceanus cruises OC404-01 OC404-04 OC415-01 OC415-03 in the Sargasso Sea between June 13, 2004 and August 24, 2005 (EDDIES project).

DMO note: appropriate wavelengths are listed with each parameter; 9.9E+35, -999, NA, and blank cells replaced with 'nd'; time_begin and time_end reformatted from hours and decimal minutes to hhmm
