Supplemental Information
This collection of 51 mini-Digital Video (DV) tapes were taken during the NOAA Office of Exploration 'Life on the Edge I' expedition. Highlight video clips extracted from these videos are available from the NOAA Central Library (call number is not yet available). The mini-DV tapes are only available for inspection and research use at the NOAA Central Library. Additional surface-launched observation data and digital photographs from this expedition are archived in NODC Accession 0001377.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.

  • 2015-04-22T00:00:00 - NOAA created the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) by merging NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), per the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015, Public Law 113-235. NCEI launched publicly on April 22, 2015.
