ROV exploration of the Northeast U.S. Deepwater Canyons complementing and continuing the work of the 2012 ACUMEN expedition. The two legs of EX1304 will perform systematic exploration, investigating deep water areas in and along the northeast canyons off the U.S. East Coast.

EX1304L2: Northeast U.S. Canyons Exploration, produced the following data: Ship Navigation, Ship Track KML; Ship Sensor Raw Data (SCS Data - Air Temp, Barometer, Doppler Depth, Event Data, Met, Radiation, Relative Humidity, SAMOS, Sound Velocity, Thermosalinograph, Water Temperature, Wind Direction, Wind Speed) (Profile Data - asvp, CTD, XBT); Submersible Sensor Raw Data (ROV CTD and SCS), ROV Dive Track JPG, ROV Dive Products; Multibeam and Singlebeam Bathymetric Data.

Other NOAA offices hold the data that NODC has not archived under this Accession.

  • 2015-04-22T00:00:00 - NOAA created the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) by merging NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), per the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015, Public Law 113-235. NCEI launched publicly on April 22, 2015.
