This dataset includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from NOAA Ship MALCOLM BALDRIGE in the North Pacific Ocean and South Pacific Ocean from 1992-02-24 to 1992-05-19. These data include CHLOROPHYLL A, DELTA CARBON-13, DELTA CARBON-14, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, Delta Oxygen-18, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHAEOPHYTIN, Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, pH, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include Alkalinity titrator, CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement, Flask with closed headspace for discrete carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement, bottle and spectrophotometer.

These data were collected by Rik Wanninkhof of NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory and Richard A. Feely of US DOC; NOAA; OAR; Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory as part of the EQ92_SPRING data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: EQ92_SPRING

  • 2015-04-22T00:00:00 - NOAA created the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) by merging NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), per the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015, Public Law 113-235. NCEI launched publicly on April 22, 2015.
