Processing Steps
  • Data Type: pressure (measured); Units: dbar; Observation Type: in situ; Sampling Instrument: CTD - SBE 911 plus V5.2.; Sampling and Analyzing Method: CTD data (pressure, temperature and conductivity) had been processed with Seabird processing software Seasoft V2 following standard procedures. The sensors were calibrated by SeaBird before and after the cruise. The temperature and conductivity were corrected using pre and post-cruise calibrations. The data we report are from the secondary sensors. http://www.seabird.com/sbe911plus-ctd.
  • Data Type: TEMPERATURE [WATER TEMPERATURE] (measured); Units: degrees C; Observation Type: in situ T68; Sampling Instrument: CTD - SBE 911 plus V5.2. Dual sensors.; Sampling and Analyzing Method: CTD data had been processed with standard Seabird processing software Seasoft V2 combining pre and post-cruise calibration for each sensor (pressure, temperature and conductivity). Mean agreement between dual sensors was within 0.002 C. Reported temperature is derived from the secondary sensor of the CTD package.
  • Data Type: SALINITY (calculated); Units: psu PSS-78; Observation Type: in situ; Sampling Instrument: CTD - SBE 911 plus V5.2. Dual conductivity sensors.; Sampling and Analyzing Method: CTD data had been processed with standard Seabird processing software Seasoft V2 combining pre-cruise and post cruise calibration for each sensor (pressure, temperature and conductivity). Mean agreement between dual conductivity sensors was within 0.0003 S/m. Reported salinity is derived from the secondary conductivity sensor of the CTD package.
  • Data Type: water depth (calculated); Units: m; Observation Type: in situ; Sampling Instrument: CTD SBE 911 plus V5.2.; Sampling and Analyzing Method: Derived depth was calculated using Seabird's Seasoft V2 software.
