Temperature profile data were collected using XBT and BT casts from NOAA Ship MALCOLM BALDRIGE and other platforms in a World-wide distribution from 07 September 1990 to 29 May 1994. Data were collected by the national Ocean Service (NOS).

Supplemental Information	These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database. NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3".
Purpose	This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
