The seven data sets of Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) were collected as part of World Ocean Circulation Experiment. Data was collected from Ships METEOR, MELVILLE, and TYRO. The data was collected over a period spanning from January 23, 1989 to September 26, 1991. Data was submitted by Dr. Jonathan H. Sharp of Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie, Hamburg, Germany.

Carbon dioxide, hydrographic, and chemical data obtained during the R/V Meteor cruise 11/5 in the South Atlantic and northern Weddell Sea areas (WOCE sections A-12 and A-21). Oak Ridge, Tenn. : Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, 1994.

Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM).

Principal Investigator (PI) and organization contact information accurately represents all available information from the legacy database at the time that this description was created. However, proper attribution of a PI to a specific institution or the role (submitting or collecting) taken by an institution may not be correct due to inexact mapping between fields in the legacy database and the CSDGM.
