| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, optical and physical data collected aboard the USCGC Healy during cruise HLY10TC in the Bering Sea and North Pacific Ocean from 2010-05-31 to 2010-06-12. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, speed over ground and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor and echo sounder. These data were collected by Dale Chayes of Columbia University; Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and by United States Coast Guard as part of Multibeam Sea Acceptance Test. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The CTD data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. [Processed versions of the data were generated by NCEI.] R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
