The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Physical trajectory profile data from glider clark deployed by Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in the Caribbean Sea from 2015-07-15 to 2015-08-30 (NCEI Accession 0145718)
Abstract: Deployment of a Slocum glider with a thermal-recharging engine. Low-cost, high energy density, safe, long-duration easily recharged power has been identified as a high priority technology in the most recent Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Master Plan. This project is designed to address the underwater energy issue by using phase change materials to harvest the ocean's thermal energy for battery recharging. The Slocum thermal glider clark represents the culmination of these efforts. This dataset contains CTD profiles from the Virgin Islands Trough.

The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) received the data in this archival package from the Integrated Ocean Observing System's National Glider Data Assembly Center (IOOS NGDAC). The IOOS NGDAC received the data in one or more netCDF files comprising an entire glider deployment. The data are measurements of physical oceanographic properties such as temperature, salinity, conductivity, and density. The IOOS NGDAC checked the files for compliance to their netCDF file convention, aggregated the files into a single netCDF file, and then submitted the file to NCEI for long-term preservation.
